Where to buy fish and Chips inside Greymouth District (NZ)
You is often a newcomer for the Grey District or contemplating travelling there inside near future and will be wondering that you may buy some fish and chips. Here is a collection of places to pick from.
This is my favourite position for takeaways. It is on Bright Street Cobden for the southern side on the Grey River. From Greymouth talk about the bridge, turn left whilst going for 150 metres. They make the top fish and chips inside area. It is not just a takeaway, additionally it is a convenience store/dairy selling plenty of other types of groceries and stuff for the house.
Runanga is 7 kilometres north of Greymouth however if you are returning coming from a day out to Punakaki to view the Pancake Rocks blowholes you might want to drop directly into Runanga takeaways for a few fish and chips along home. I rate Runanga takeaways with a par with Cobden Takeaways as providing some nice fish and chips.
FOUR J’S TAKEAWAYS (Paroa)
Four Js is really a general store, dairy/cafe along with takeaways. It is for the main road at Paroa, you can’t miss out whatever direction you might be driving. If you might be on your way home at a day out at Shantytown and fancy takeaways for tea then Four J’s is undoubtedly an option.
MACA STORE & TAKEAWAYS (Runanga)
Maca’s is on McGowan Street, the principle street in Runanga. It serves a nearby population when you end up coping with Runanga you will then be pleased to know there’s 2 chippies inside town. Maca’s also provides for a general store selling several grocery items.
MERV N’ KIPS (Tainui Street)
This is in upper Tainui Street over the road from BP.
SANTE FE MILK BAR (Turmaha Street)
Sante Fe is on that street behind Dixon Park. It is also handy to Anzac Park.
MAGGIE’S CAFE (Mackay Street)
This is not a takeaway but you’re able to purchase fish and chips along with other takeaways here during business hours usually on the morning till about 5. I mentioned it here as it’s my favourite Cafe in Greymouth. Maggie’s Cafe is on Mackay Street throughout the road from Paper Plus.
